There are some people out there who take as much medication as they can get away with. Me on the other hand, I absolutely hate taking medication and only take it when I have to. I just never feel good about putting those things in my body. I recently had the opportunity to try out some Doterra Essential Oils! On the Doterra website it says:
If you have ever enjoyed the scent of a rose, you’ve experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. These naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds are found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. In addition to giving plants their distinctive smells, essential oils protect plants and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and being beautifully fragrant to people, essential oils have long been used for food preparation, beauty treatment, and health care practices.

I have had SUCH an amazing experience using Doterra Essentail Oils! they have honestly changed my life! One of the things I LOVE about these oils is that instead of covering pain that you have, they actually FIX the pain. I was a little skeptical before I used the oils. It didn’t seem realistic that little bottles of oil could replace all the medicine in my home. But guess what, they work. Even the first time I used the oils I noticed an immediate difference!
I have always had trouble sleeping and usually have to take a pill called Melatonin to calm me down. Taking this is always hard for me because I hate it when I have to be reliant on it. The first night that I got the oils, I decided to put some lavender on the bottoms of my feet since it is supposed to calm you down and help you sleep. I didn’t realize how well it had worked until I woke up the next morning and realized that I had slept straight through the night without waking up, which doesn’t usually happen even when I take the melatonin!
I also decided to use the essential oils to help with my allergies. I have pretty crazy allergies, not as bad as some peoples, but enough so that it effects the quality of the other things I do. They’ve been especially bad lately now that it’s tennis season and I’m outside (with all the allergens) for at least 2 hours a day! I tried rubbing three drops each of Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint on the back of my neck at least once a day. This worked really well, I noticed that they worked as well (if not better) as the allergy pill minus the drowsiness that normally comes with taking allergy medicine!
There are SO many other uses for the oils! I only have three different oils right now, but it’s amazing how much I can do with each of them. Here’s A FEW of the other things you can use Lavender, Peppermint, and Lemon for:
