Wow, I am awesome at consistency or what. Just kidding, I’ve been sucking at it lately. Remember when I used to post twice a week? Yeah, I have no idea how that worked. Are you ready for my 5000 excuses for not posting? Well first of all I’ve been contributing posts to the blog Make It and Love It this year (you should go check it out and I’ve also continued to post twice a month on Thirty Handmade Days (check that out too :).
Also my schedule has been crazy at school trying to keep up my 4.5 GPA. Also I’ve had like 500 piano concerts/things in the past months (more like 7, but close enough. Also I’ve been volunteering once a week. Also I’ve had so many parties and stuff with friends that I literally no free time. And let’s be honest sometimes I’m just not feeling it.
Anyways, does anyone have a problem with their necklaces getting tangled? So, this is super embarrassing, for like the past six months like half of my necklaces have been tangled so I haven’t been able to wear them. They were seriously tangled.
Over spring break I decided enough is enough. I finally (after hours of untangling) untangled all my necklaces. Then I came up with these SUPER EASY wood slice necklace holders to ensure that my necklace dilemma would never occur again.
This project was seriously SO easy. It only involves TWO things and one step! Also making these made me realize how much jewelry, oops.
MATERIALS:
- Wood slice. I found mine at Michaels.
- Small Nails and a hammer
- Jewelry??? I feel like that is kind of implied but this list is super short.
DIRECTIONS:
- Decide where you want your nails to be and mark it with a pencil on the wood slice.
- Hammer the nails in the spots designated. Make sure to only hammer the nails in about half way so that you have a way to hang jewelry on it.
- Hang you jewelry on it and enjoy!
See, easy! I would love to know what you guys think about wood slices? Personally I love them!
